چکیده

Color tuning is a fascinating and indispensable property in various applications. Thus far, variety of reconfigurable approaches have been implemented to achieve color change. However, it still challenge enable continuous over the entire hue range simple, stable, rapid manner without changes configuration material properties. Here, an all-optical continuously tunable plasmonic pixel scheme demonstrated via modular design approach realize polarization-controlled full by breaking intrinsic symmetry unit cell layout. The pixels consist three different types modules corresponding subtractive primary colors. Without changing structural properties or surrounding environment, colors can be precisely tuned across all hues illuminating linearly polarized light with polarization directions. Meanwhile, flexibly customized for processes through appropriate choice component elaborate module layouts. Furthermore, extended achromatic utilization single introduction black module. proposed hold considerable potential function as next-generation integrated liquid-crystal polarizers.

Continuously Tunable, Polarization Controlled, Colour Palette Produced from Nanoscale Plasmonic Pixels

Colour filters based on nano-apertures in thin metallic films have been widely studied due to their extraordinary optical transmission and small size. These properties make them prime candidates for use in high-resolution colour displays and high accuracy bio-sensors. The inclusion of polarization sensitive plasmonic features in such devices allow additional control over the electromagnetic fie...

Electrokinetic pixels with biprimary inks for color displays and color-temperature-tunable smart windows.

We report on the advanced implementation of the biprimary color system in applications where subtractive color is performed inside a single pixel to alter the magnitude and color of reflection (electronic paper displays) or the optical transmission and color temperature (smart windows). A novel device structure can switch between four states: clear, black, either of two complementary colors fro...

Unidirectional Spaser in Symmetry-Broken Plasmonic Core-Shell Nanocavity

The spaser, a quantum amplifier of surface plasmons by stimulated emission of radiation, is recognized as a coherent light source capable of confining optical fields at subwavelength scale. The control over the directionality of spasing has not been addressed so far, especially for a single-particle spasing nanocavity where optical feedback is solely provided by a plasmon resonance. In this wor...

2PFCTM (two pixels, full color): Image sensor demosaicing and characterization

We propose a modification to the standard Bayer CFA and photodiode structure for CMOS image sensors, which we call 2PFCTM (Two Pixels, Full Color). The blue and red filters of the Bayer pattern are replaced by a magenta filter. Under each magenta filter are two stacked, pinned photodiodes; the diode nearest the surface absorbs mostly blue light and the deeper diode absorbs mostly red light. The...
